Interpreting the test results

donnaTEST has been developed as a practical, independent test. The test result can be seen and interpreted immediately by a visual check. During the various phases of your cycle, you can recognise the following structures in the mini-microscope:

PERIOD WITHOUT OVULATION:
Punctiform structure with no specific shape

FIRST PHASE:
1–3 days prior to ovulation, you will gradually see small lines, the size of hairs. Whether you see many or only a few is not important. The decisive aspect is their presence. This test result means that ovulation will begin in the course of the next 1–3 days. It is now advisable to carry out the test at least twice a day.

SECOND PHASE:
The hair-like lines gradually increase in length and size. Some may look like eye-lashes with differing branching. This test result means that ovulation has started. Continue to carry out the test at least twice a day.

THIRD PHASE:
You will notice that the eye-lash structures increase and overlap one another. The salts contained in the saliva form a typical fern leaf pattern because of the high oestrogen level. This test result means that your cycle has now reached the most fertile phase. Continue to carry out the test at least twice a day.

JOURS SANS OVULATION INFECONDS NON-FERTILE TIME
WITHOUT OVULATION:
Punctiform structure with no
specific shape
No possibility of conception
AVANT/APRÈS L’OVULATION ONE TO THREE DAYS BEFORE
AND AFTER OVULATION:
Small, fern-like pattern and
punctiform structures
20–30% reduced possibility
of conception in the days prior to
ovulation
JOURS FÉCONDS, PENDANT L'OVULATION FERTILE PERIOD,
DURING OVULATION
Fern-like structures, which entirely
or partially cover the field of vision
Strong possibility of conception

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The quality of the saliva can be influenced by smoking, alcohol or food. You should therefore avoid these substances for at least one hour before the test. Alternatively, you can carry out the test with cervical mucus at any time. Irregular cycles are very common. Therefore, do not under any circumstances make decisions of medical importance without first speaking to your gynaecologist.
